A friendly visit of our colleagues from the national sections of the IPA of Germany, the Czech Republic, and Estonia took place in February.

An intense and interesting program was organized for the guests: we showed our colleagues around the city, showed them its sights and traditional winter sports for Kirov people. The representatives of three delegations visited the «Vyatich» brewery, the history of which has been lasting for more than 100 years, museums and the historic streets of the city with an excursion.

The representatives of the foreign delegation had a meeting with the teachers and students of the Volga-Vyatka Institute (branch) of the Moscow State Law University named after O.E. Kutafin (MSAL), the students of the Kirov Economic and Legal Lyceum (KELL), the cadets of the Kirov branch of the Legal police college.

In the process of communication, the members of the Estonian delegation, Uno Laas, Igor Reinmaa, and Mathi Mardi, told the students about their career path, which began in the Soviet Union, and the challenges that the police officers in Estonia have to deal with at present.

A police officer from the Czech Republic, Tomas Rösler, shared information about the state of crime in his country and the efforts that police officers have to make in in seeking out the criminals in conditions of "transparency of the borders" of the Schengen zone.

Associate Professor of the Police Academy of the Federal State of Baden Württemberg Jürgen Wörner devoted his speech to the training of the police bachelors in his school.

The students welcomed warmly the guests, asked many questions, in particular, about combating illicit drug trafficking, illegal migration, and the attitude of the authorities in their states towards the Russian-speaking population.

Our colleagues also took part in the traditional annual celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day, where Tomas Rösler was ranked first in the snowmobile cross-country competitions.

Certainly, such friendly meetings demonstrate that we, being citizens of different countries, are ready to unite our efforts under the flag of the Police Association to achieve the best indicators in the provision of law and order.
