Official visit of Johannes Funke

In Kirov with an official visit was adviser of the German Embassy in Russia, Mr. Johannes Funke from 14-16 November. During the working visit, Mr. Funke met with the leadership of Mr. Kirov and the region, visited the Police College of Law, met with President KROO "Police Association" Koshcheev Nikolay Vitalievich.

During the visit, Johannes Funke held a series of meetings with representatives of government and business circles in the region, as well as with the heads of educational, cultural institutions and public organizations.  In particular, the adviser held a meeting with the head of the Kirov Valery Vladykin, with the leadership of the Vyatka Chamber of Commerce, as well as with the leadership, faculty and students of the Vyatka State University.

During the meeting they talked about the continued cooperation between the Kirov region  and Germany in trade-economic, socio-cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as new perspective directions of development of bilateral relations.

– We have agreed that we will create on the basis of an IFC, the centers of visa support for citizens who want to visit Germany for various purposes: tourism, economic, other. I think this is very important and it will be convenient for citizens, said after the meeting the head of the region Igor Vasiliev, answering a question of journalists.

The second important topic discussed Igor Vasiliev and Johannes Funke, is the possibility of the establishment of the Institute of honorary consuls – the Convenor for the coordination of activities of various organizations aimed at strengthening economic and cultural ties.

– We also agreed to organize exhibition tours for tour operators from Germany, who will be able to see our offers in the field of tourism, e.g., eco and hunting. Mr Funke found in all the discussed issues, a mutual understanding, – said Igor Vladimirovich.

The acting Governor was treated to a German diplomat Vyatka kvass, and in the end gave gifts among traditional souvenirs.
