3 October 2009
From 16 till 20 September 10th IPA Conference of Central and Eastern European Section was held on the basis of the Police Academy in Selm-Bork city, Germany. Representatives from 11 countries took part at the conference. The Russian delegation was headed by the president of IPA Russia A. Gankin, vice president of IPA Russia, president of Kirov regional section N. Koshcheev, heads of regional sections of Bashkortostan and Yakutia.
The congress was held in friendly and easy environment. All delegation showed presentation films: how they draw new members into the association and preserve the existing ones. Representatives of all delegations made presentations.
Also the organizers of the congress, our German colleagues, held interesting excursions, for example an excursion in IPA museum. We were also able to see athletic facilities, where young policemen undergo special training. A shooting gallery, where the newest technical achievements are used, made a great impression on participants of the congress.
We express thanks to the president of IPA German Section Udo Goeckeritz, vice president Horst W. Bichl, general secretary Werner Busch, treasurer Guenter Lambrecht, and assessor of IPA land NRW Konrad Broeker for organization of the conference.
