Military-sports game "Summer lightning" regional stage

A military-sports game "Summer lightning" were held by the Youth welfare department of the Kirov region together with the Regional Palace of Youth with the participation of Kirov regional branch of the RS IPA from 5 to 8 August, 2015.

"Summer Lightning" has been held for over half a century in Kirov region. This year “Summer Lightning” has new way of holding. Four days of competitions were instead of one.   Number of disciplines was also increased – from four to thirteen. There were grenade throwing, putting a gun together, drilling, swimming, pneumatic gun shooting, obstacle course, speed running and strength gymnastics competitions – and this is not the entire list.

Despite the new format, the main purpose remains the same - patriotic education of youth.  That’s why each year “Summer Lightning” involves dozens of teams from many districts of the region. Region stage winners will participate the county competitions.

Four teams from Kirov, Slobodskoy, Kicknur and Kilmez were fighting to go to the final competitions in Orenburg.

The team  “Preobrazhentsi”  from Kicknur has become a winner of Kirov regional stage of county military-sports game “Summer lightning”.

Participants and assistants were rewarded by diplomas and grateful letters and the winning team was given the Cup and a certificate for parachute jump.
