Municipal triathlon for teens

The tournament on the bench press, chin-ups and shooting from an air rifle was held among Kirov general schools’ students.

The event’s initiator was the children and youth centre of the Oktyabrsky district with the cooperation of IPA Kirov.

Among the participants there were pupils of the Sovetsk boarding school for the children with disabilities.

The main goals of the event were :

1) Promotion of healthy lifestyles

2) Popularization of bench press

3) Patriotic and discipline education, crime prevention.

4) “Healthy children, a healthy nation — Strong Russia”.

The tournament will promise to become a traditional competition for town’s schoolchildren and orphanage’s pupils. The next one is planned to held on the eve of V-Day. And the children will be able to show their strengths once again.
